Lucy and I flew to Cincinnati/Northern KY to spend a week with my parents before Walt joined us to celebrate his Grandmother Lucy's 90th birthday. We had a fantastic time with family and friends and I know once Lucy adjusted to the time zone, (she was stuck on pacific time for about a week), she had fun too. She was so good on the flight to Cincinnati, and thank goodness because I was traveling alone. The long flight back to Seattle was a bit of a different story. She didn't sleep once and wanted to crawl around in the isle. We made it home and she is now adjusting back to pacific timing. She is really a trooper and makes our life pretty easy. I hope she teaches those traits to her new little brother or sister, who will be here in about 3.5 months!
Walt and I were so lucky to have my parents watch Lucy for a week while we headed off to Boston for our first trip away as parents. I was a bit nervous to be away for a week, but we really needed to spend time together as a couple especially before our new little bundle arrives. We were at complete ease knowing she was in excellent care with Grandma and Grandpa, but we really missed our little girl. It is amazing how much your life revolves around your children, they add so much magic to your life.
While visiting we had another little birthday celebration with some of my cousins and friends and their little ones.
Enjoy the photos!
Lucy's first high school soccer game. We went to my high school to watch my cousin Shelby play against my Alma mater. Lucy loved watching the girls run around the field and kept everyone busy walking up and down the bleachers.

All the kids at my parents' house lined up for a picture during her birthday party.

Still no interest in the cake......oh, and it was so yummy, I even had a piece!

My cousin Brigette reading a story to Lucy, Rider, and Lexi.

Lucy's number '1' cake and cupcake cookies.

All dressed up for Grandmother Lucy's 90th celebration. Lucy did not feel so well this night but once she got to the party she loved playing with all her little 2nd cousins.

A picture with Grandmother Lucille and her great grandchildren; Declan, Caymus, Lucy and Ian.

A photo of the lovely Bed & Breakfast in Cape Cod where we spent two days. We really enjoyed The Little Inn on Pleasant Bay and Pamela was a wonderful hostess.

When we arrived at the B&B men were harvesting cranberries from the bog to send to Ocean Spray for processing. It was very interesting to watch this process, it was just like the add on TV with the guys wading in the cranberries, didn't know it really happened that way, pretty cool.

A view from the Inn, so picturesque. Just what I pictured the Cape to look like. Let me know if you are planning a visit anytime, I'd love to pass along the info from our trip, it was so nice, (thank you to my dear friend Jamie for her always detailed itineraries and great tip on the B&B).
