Two new sisters

A son is a son till he takes him a wife,
A daughter is a daughter all of her life.

Irish saying

Be who you are and say what you feel because
Those who mind don't matter,
And those who matter don't mind.

Lucy's favorite Dr Seuss quote.

A baby will make love stronger,
days shorter,
nights longer,
bankroll smaller,
home happier,
clothes shabbier,
the past forgotten,
and the future worth living for.

Author unknown

A child born yesterday,
A thing on mother's milk and kisses fed.

Homer, 850 BC

Whoever said 'sleeps like a baby'
Didn't have a baby.

Little Lady meets Lu and Q

"Why doesn't she have any eyebrows?" asked Lucy.

"Where are her toes?" asked Quinn.

We love these questions.

Is she real daddy?

Lucy is a natural.  I think little Ms Claire is wiggling out.

Quinn has always had a gentleness, which is evident here.  His first hold of his little sister.

Grandma can get her to sing.

Our Little Girl Has Arrived

Born Sept 21st, 10:20 pm, 7lbs, 10oz.

Thanks for this amazing picture Grandpa Mike.  Looking into mommy's eyes with the tender hand squeeze.
A daddy for the third time, with Lucy and Quinn's Little Sister
 First diaper change.
Warming up for football with Quinn and Lucy.
Lots of labor leads to lots of love.
We had a pool going, and I promise this was taken prior to the birth.  The guesses were good ones, but daddy knew best.  3 for 3, top row.

I'll keep an eye on you too, says her daddy.

Welcome home little miss.  We have plenty of cute clothes for you, and your parents know a thing or two about little boys and girls by now.

Thanks for all of the warm wishes and love sent our way, we can't wait for you to meet our lovely new baby daughter.

A name you say?  The jury is still deliberating, but I can say we agree on the first name, but the middle is generating lots of debate.

Summer Activities

Quinn is a tender, kind, little rascal.
Lucy has the confidence of a queen.  With mommy and the new baby.
 The Charisma of a CEO.
The trust in her abilities beyond her age.
The sense of adventure of her daddy.
The warmth and sociability of her mommy.
And the attentiveness of her Grandpas.
Our little Lucy is growing up.
 How lucky we are.
Let me in this little tribute too.  I'm looking for sluggies.
I love blueberries.  Ever since I had my first tooth.  Let's fill up the whole bucket.
Do we have to pay for these if we eat them? Q asked.  We told him they would weigh him on the way out to see what's in his tummy.  "I don't want them to look in my tummy".  Full of one-liners.
 MADFACE!
 Watch the spiders.
 Big Stretch.
Not many people pick up here daddy.

Quinn's first day

Quinn was all ready for school, just like big sister Lucy.
Clipped in and ready for economic theory.
Quinn now goes to school by himself, which was just no big deal.

Thanks mommy, see you soon, I'll be ok.  Shouldn't I be the one crying?

Lucy's Dream Day and the Wedding of the Year

Flower Girl Lucy. She left Quinn behind. She was too busy placing flower petals.

Quinn made it down all by himself. Hands behind his back the entire way. He took the job seriously.

Made it to daddy. Time for gummy bear treats.

Killing time with a little "Tangled"

Joanna, the stunning bride.

About to pop! One week left. So happy the baby decided not to make his/her arrival before or during the wedding.
You can do it Q!!
