A New Fall Family Tradition
We took Lucy to the Pumpkin Patch and she didn't have a very positive reaction....didn't really want to touch the pumpkins......flash back to the tulip fields, maybe?
After a few minutes she warmed up to the big orange balls.
But in the end she was more interested in playing in the dirt. She was a mess!
We took a little train ride, saw a few donkeys, and Lucy had to point just to be sure we saw everything she was seeing.

Mommy and Daddy are home!
I had to share this video. This was the moment Lucy saw us after returning from our trip to Boston. She stared at us in a state of shock with a big smile. I think she did remember us after 6 days away......I was afraid she wouldn't.
Family Golf Outing
Great job Mom, thanks!
To Grandma and Grandpa's house we go......and a few other places.
Lucy and I flew to Cincinnati/Northern KY to spend a week with my parents before Walt joined us to celebrate his Grandmother Lucy's 90th birthday. We had a fantastic time with family and friends and I know once Lucy adjusted to the time zone, (she was stuck on pacific time for about a week), she had fun too. She was so good on the flight to Cincinnati, and thank goodness because I was traveling alone. The long flight back to Seattle was a bit of a different story. She didn't sleep once and wanted to crawl around in the isle. We made it home and she is now adjusting back to pacific timing. She is really a trooper and makes our life pretty easy. I hope she teaches those traits to her new little brother or sister, who will be here in about 3.5 months!

All the kids at my parents' house lined up for a picture during her birthday party.
Still no interest in the cake......oh, and it was so yummy, I even had a piece!
My cousin Brigette reading a story to Lucy, Rider, and Lexi.
Lucy's number '1' cake and cupcake cookies.
All dressed up for Grandmother Lucy's 90th celebration. Lucy did not feel so well this night but once she got to the party she loved playing with all her little 2nd cousins.
A picture with Grandmother Lucille and her great grandchildren; Declan, Caymus, Lucy and Ian.
A photo of the lovely Bed & Breakfast in Cape Cod where we spent two days. We really enjoyed The Little Inn on Pleasant Bay and Pamela was a wonderful hostess.
When we arrived at the B&B men were harvesting cranberries from the bog to send to Ocean Spray for processing. It was very interesting to watch this process, it was just like the add on TV with the guys wading in the cranberries, didn't know it really happened that way, pretty cool.
A view from the Inn, so picturesque. Just what I pictured the Cape to look like. Let me know if you are planning a visit anytime, I'd love to pass along the info from our trip, it was so nice, (thank you to my dear friend Jamie for her always detailed itineraries and great tip on the B&B).
Walt and I were so lucky to have my parents watch Lucy for a week while we headed off to Boston for our first trip away as parents. I was a bit nervous to be away for a week, but we really needed to spend time together as a couple especially before our new little bundle arrives. We were at complete ease knowing she was in excellent care with Grandma and Grandpa, but we really missed our little girl. It is amazing how much your life revolves around your children, they add so much magic to your life.
While visiting we had another little birthday celebration with some of my cousins and friends and their little ones.
Enjoy the photos!
Lucy's first high school soccer game. We went to my high school to watch my cousin Shelby play against my Alma mater. Lucy loved watching the girls run around the field and kept everyone busy walking up and down the bleachers.

52 weeks.....a few weeks ago.
We've been out of town for the last 15 days and I was having so much fun that I just couldn't find the time to sit down and blog. Anyway, I had to post the last picture in our collection of 'weekly shots.' Lucy turned 1 on September 17th and this is the 52 week picture to go along. Now I just have to organize all my favorites from each week and put them together in a photo book. Wonder how long that will take......probably 52 weeks :)

Birthday Party Time
This past Saturday we had a celebration for Lucy's first birthday. She had her favorite little people over for playtime in the backyard and cupcakes. We had a great time sharing such a special moment with wonderful friends. Thanks to all who came, we hope you had fun too!
Lucy was a champ. She missed her afternoon nap but still had a smile on her face and lasted until around 8:30 PM before crashing........she didn't wake until 9am the next morning. She was exhausted! Here are some photos from her special day.
I am still in shock that our little baby is 1! Where did the year go?
Thank you Jamie for the lovely photos, much appreciated!
Cupcakes for everyone!
All the kiddos lined up for a shot, can't believe they all sat still! There were only about 10 parents jumping up and down while singing and clapping......guess they were distracted??
Lucy in her party attire. Pink tutu and all.......it didn't stop her from crawling around in the dirt, rocks, and grass.
I LOVE this shot of her fingers while eating, I mean playing, with her cake. She really had no interest in eating it, much like her mommy. Guess she'll be a salty snack girl like me. She had quite a good time squishing the icing and cake in her fingers.

She loved having people at her house. Such a party girl!
She decided enough was enough! Lucy took a little nap while opening gifts, she laid down and took a rest in the middle of everything.......so cute.
