Playdate and play-dough FUN!!

We had a fun morning/afternoon with our friends. The kids played so well together with Greyson's toys and the moms chatted and had a nice lunch. Lucy loved playing in the ball pit, thanks Grey! Mom, look we have to get one of these!!!

Quinn finally made it into a group shot. He has slept though all of the previous playdates. This time he decided to wake up and meet his big sister's friends. He was asleep again about 5 minutes after the photo. I love the look on their faces and they wonder why we are all singing and jumping up and down trying to get them to look in the same direction......crazy mommies!

Back at home playing with play-dough. She tried to eat it only once and stayed interested long enough for me to feed Quinn......perfect!

Polar Bears and Lucy's Teleconference

This is Lucy and Grandpa Mike during Mike's recent visit. Didn't know Polar Bears live out here in Seattle did you? Global cooling is in full effect. Click on the picture and see if you can find the angry bears and coyote in the background.

This is Lucy teleconferencing with her Grandparents. She can be seen giving a hug and playing with Mike and Jitty. Lucy is so funny.

Oh yeah, Mr Q just weighed in at 14 lbs at his two month appt!! Quinn loves his booby milk.

Lu and Q 18 and 2 month update

Wow time is flying at our house. It is hard to believe it is spring, (according to the calendar, not the weather), Quinn has been around for 2 months and Lucy is a year and 1/2! I THINK we are starting to settle into somewhat of a routine. We had many wonderful guests who came to celebrate the arrival of our little man and entertain Lucy. Now, it is two babies and two parents.....and I think we are doing an okay job. Anyone else want to visit??? We are always up for extra hands around the house.....oh, and you get to enjoy Seattle!

Just a little update.....
Lucy, Quinn, and I made it to Wobbler class today and I think she really enjoyed showing off her little brother. When the other children were looking in Quinn's car seat she laid across it as to "protect' him. Funny how things change, last night we had to discipline her for patting Q's head a little too roughly. I think we are all still adjusting.
Quinn is such a sweet little boy. He rarely cries, only when he is hungry.....which is very often and goes with the flow. He was 12.5 lbs and 24 inches at his one month visit, we find out his two month stats tomorrow.

Lucy is almost 26 lbs and 35 inches long, she is going to be tall! We had a rough time last week at the Dr. I think a bit of fear set in and she remembered what happens at the doctor's office. Luckily no more shots for a long time. Lucy loves reading books and going outside. She is talking more and more each day and signing all the time, which really helps when trying to communicate.

We are all looking forward to warmer days so we can visit the park and take long walks. Wait till you see the big stroller I have to tote the kiddos around.

We hope everyone is having a lovely start to spring! Enjoy the photos!

First Meeting

We found this video from Quinn's birth and had to share.

Lucy meets Mr Q, and keep your eye on Lucy's intense expression and her look to Mommy for reassurance. And, of course, the kiss toward the end. Lucy was up 4 hours past her bedtime to see her little bro.

We Love you Lucy.

Lucy, Quinn, and Mommy the painter

This is Lucy when she was just 10 weeks old, three weeks older than I am today. Lucy started preaching early.
This is mommy and Lucy painting. Lucy just sat there inverted as mommy splashed paint all over. This is now my room. See lucy in mommy's pouch? She was just keeping it warm for me. Look at that beautiful color - do you like pea soup?
This is Lucy just after she tossed some macaroni on my head. She looks innocent doesn't she?

6 weeks and seriously silly sissy

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Look mommy, Lucy is singing a song about me. I'm not a black sheep but I would like three bags of wool. Lucy has been reading a lot lately because she says she wants mommy and daddy to pay for grad school.

Lucy has been reading The Fatal Conceit and has been in a sour mood. She runs around the house saying the move toward collectivism will destroy and impoverish much of humankind. She has named her doll Hayek, but I just want her to stop checking her pamper and pacifier portfolio and play with me.

Daddy is giving Lucy some zeroG time. He tried that with me and I just sprayed him with lunch.

5 weeks and Lucy Lu

This is Lucy. She walks up to people on the street and says hello. They usually laugh.
5 weeks and I just keep growing. I am already in size 2 after newborns just 2 wks ago. Love that booby milk.
Mommy puts me on the floor and has me try to climb through. She says it's educational but I know it is so she can watch the Bachelor. I think he looks like a midget and Lucy could beat up the girls. waaa waaa waaa says the Bachelor, but that's what I say all day long. Does that mean I am bachelor too?
AAHHHHHHHHHHH Help! I'm being eaten by a honkey cat. Stay back or I'll pee. Jitty!!
We took a bath too, and mommy says I smell clean. See you next time!
