Blog Clarifications

Hello to all that follow our blog. Thank you so much for taking interest in our lives and checking in. I hope you enjoy reading the posts and viewing the pictures. We do this mostly to chronicle the events in Lucy and Quinn's life so we can reflect back someday, but it is nice to know that our friends and family like to share in our fun!

This is Adrienne writing. As some of you may know from the tone, Walt has taken over updating the blog during the past few weeks. Thank goodness, because I barely have time to eat or shower these days. I feel like I am glued to the couch nursing or trying to catch a minute for a quick nap.....but I LOVE every minute. Anyway, he is doing a great job keeping the blog up to date with fresh pictures and stories.

Several of you have emailed, called, or asked me about two things Walt discussed in previous posts. Just to clarify.....

1. No, my mom is not staying until June. This was wishful thinking on our part. She left last week and things aren't the same without her. She was a tremendous help and we miss her so much!! Still trying to convince her and my dad to move in with us :)

2. No, we are NOT planning to have another baby next Valentine's Day....Walt is crazy! This lady needs a break! Hopefully we will have another child, but not in the near future.

Now off for a shower and back to the couch for duty!

Love,
Adrienne

Friends and Relatives

Big sissy lucy. She makes mommy and daddy laugh and cry.
Lucy is my sister and she loves to hold me. I love having a sister

I can sleep like this because mommy keeps me safe and my tummy full.

This is Aunt Janis, she came to visit with her husband and daughter but they were skiing everytime mommy broke out the camera. AHHHHH my eye keeps looking at my nose!!

This is mommy and daddy's friend Craig. He came to ski with daddy all the way from Dallas. Kate, I think your daddy is famous now, he made it on the internet!!!!

Lucy put on daddy's ski boots to keep him from leaving......I think she needs a smaller size. I can't wait to ski with my daddy one day!

4 Week fun

This is Lucy watching my famous cousin Zak on his DVD. Daddy went to the Grammys with Zak because Zak was supposed to get a Grammy. Zak is coming to Seattle to perform in 2 weeks.
Daddy and Lucy were trying to give me CPR, but I told them to stay back or I would poop.
This is me trying to stop the stimulus package from passing. STOP I said, but I don't think congress listened to me or anybody else.
Ahhh. My nice warm blanket on mommy's bed. If I keep working, I can pop my arm out and wave to mommy to get over here and pay some more attention to me.
Hi mommy, why does that thing shoot off a firework flash right before you say ahhh baby?
Lucy get away! Just because you know sign language doesn't mean I want a close-up of your pharynx. I love you so much.
Lucy thinks it is so funny to steal my pacifier and then throw it across the room. Go get it big sis! Right now or I'll squirm and cry like always.
I love you Lucy, please always protect me from silly girls, ok?

I am 3 weeks now

Mommy has been so loving and kind to me. She doesn't even care when I pee on the ceiling or shoot out poop across the room. She is so patient and today is Valentine's day. Mommy, daddy told me you are his valentine and are an amazing mommy. We all love you so much and can't wait to have another brother or sister next Valentine's day.

Lucy is so calming and keeps me from getting upset. It's COOOOLD lucy, and why don't they make you strip down to your diaper anymore? Whose idea is this weekly photo torture?

Lucy is so funny, she is taking my pulse, I could have told her it's 140.
It's not funny! I can't help sliding down into the pouch.
I think I look pretty good for 3 weeks off of the umbilical artery. And my name is Q. Q-U-I-N-N, not john. Everybody kept calling me John, John Diss. What is that? I looked like a carrot and they called me John. Silly mommy and daddy. Do you think they meant Jaundice?
This is what mommy does all day long. I think it is because I need a boob every 90 minutes when the sun goes down. Then I sleep all day. Mom just opens her mouth like this.
This is my daddy dancing with Lucy. They have fun dancing. Who are the Bee Gees?
This was back when I was just two weeks, the day mommy and daddy stopped calling me John.
AHHHHHH. My arms and legs keep pulling up. I'll see you soon.

Everybody holds me

This is Ms Lucy at just 2 months. I can't wait until I have feelings. This is called the look that makes daddy do whatever Lucy wants. I hope I can do it.
Daddy can hold us both and looks so happy. We are going to make all of his hair fall out some day. Don't worry Lucy, I'll act like I am looking at daddy and you make a jump for it.This is grandpa Mike feeding me a fake boob, and grandpa Rick telling Lucy about particle physics. This is cousin Joanna. I hope she visits a lot. Her mommy and daddy make Lucy laugh out loud. Jo has gone to school on five continents and likes to litigate. This is grandpa Rick again, he lives with horses in Ohio. He likes to watch trains on TV. He says every wine he tastes is the best in the world. What does that mean I wonder? This is grandma Jitty and grandpa Mike before Jitty moved in with us. She is staying at our house until June. But don't tell grandpa Mike because we have told him she is coming home in a few weeks. Mommy calls this a white lie. shhhhhhh.

These are my cousins. They promised to come back but they were here when Lucy was born. I was just a piece of Beecher's flagship when this was taken. I hope they know they should come back before I turn 18. They look so happy. Come see little Mr Q or we will keep grandma Jitty until next christmas.

First week, bath and Grandpa

I found a second to update the blog....hurry, hurry before a baby wakes up! Lucy is taking a nap and Quinn is nice a cozy with Grandma before his next feeding. Walt has done a great job updating the blog in my absence the past two weeks. I found it hard to fit in blogging between nursing, changing diapers, (times 2) and trying to get some extra zzz's. I really don't know what I'd do without all the extra help we've had since Quinn arrived. My parents and Walt's father have been pitching in so much and for that we are so grateful.

Lucy is doing wonderfully and loves all the extra attention and playmates. She really enjoys holding Quinn although I think she would carry him around like her baby doll if we turned our head for a second.

Ok, that was short, but I have to run and try to get a shower while I have 5 minutes. Enjoy the photos!

We've committed ourselves to the weekly photo shoot......I don't want Quinn to feel less important.
Quinn's first bath, a family affair. Lucy was very curious with an intense eye to make sure we weren't harming her little brother. He did pretty well, only a little fussiness.

Grandpa Mike and Quinn, we all miss you dad. Thank you for all the help around the house and with the kids, we love you!
