1st Day of Preschool

Lucy started Preschool on Wednesday. She could not have been more excited!  Other than a bit of a rough morning getting out the door, (due to the early morning wake-up call for my littler sleeper) she did an exceptional job!
Sitting at her little desk taking it all in!!
Bye-bye, Mommy!!
So cute with her little back-pack and lunch box.
End of the morning and lots of smiles>  We are so proud of our little school girl.  Now lets see how day two goes......

Just one of the "girls"

Sorry Quinn, but you just look so darn cute with Lucy and Olivia! You can be mad at me later.
This is what happens when you are surrounded by little girls all week long.  If you can't beat 'em, join 'em....

San Juan Sailing

We recently had a fantastic experience with our dear friends, the Boyers. We took a sailing adventure in the San Juan Islands while enjoying beautiful scenery and wonderful friends.
Kate, Lucy, and Olivia hanging out in the cabin.
Knot tying practice
Listening to the captain!

This is what happens when you have two over-tired toddlers strapped in life jackets on a 37ft sailboat.

Summer Fun

Climbing at the Park
Riding Motorcycles
Birthday Parties

Yummy Cake!

And twisty slides!

We've had many visitors and have been so busy enjoying our summer. I've taken many photos but can't find the time to sit down and blog.  Time to do some catching up.

Cuddling on the couch

I think this is one of 5 times that they have been able to sit still on the couch next to each other without hitting, bitting, or yelling. Should I also reveal that a certain movie with Woody, Jessie and Buzz was helping with the constraint......

No matter what the case, I thought a photo was necessary to capture the peace.

4th of July

Kirkland's 4th of July Parade.   Lucy checking out her loot from the parade sidelines. We've decided she is a total candy hoarder.

Zach and Quinn watching the parade. They loved the garbage trucks and maybe the girls with bikinis??

We arrived just in time to join in the kiddie parade. Next year we'll try and do better on our "float" decorations. We were a little bit in shock that we had to wear layers to any sort of 4th of July festivity.  Summer has decided to make an appearance and we hope it here to stay!
