50 weeks and FIRST STEPS!!!

She's finally into reading books, after many months of encouragement! Yes!

I still can't believe in less than two weeks Lucy will be 1! These photos are from her 50 week photo shoot. I think I will actually miss taking the weekly shots.......well, maybe. Guess in a matter of months we will be starting all over (with weekly pictures) for the second baby, do you think we can do it??? I know the second child typically has less photos, but we'll try our best.

We've been anxiously awaiting Lucy to begin walking......but she hasn't seemed that interested and frankly was getting frustrated when we would try to encourage the process. Yesterday, while Walt and I were playing with her in the family room, she stood unassisted and took two, tiny, wobbly steps!!!! We were shocked so we kept trying to get her to try again........and again, and again. The most she did was four steps from Walt to me and then she dove in my lap with a huge grin on her face. We got out the video camera and tried to capture her, but she became too interested in the camera to focus.

Maybe by her official 1st Birthday she'll be tip-toeing around the house--how exciting!!
