Easter 2010

This Easter season we really got into the whole egg decorating and hunting. Last Easter Lucy didn't really understand what was going on, and Q was only about 3 months old. This year was a different story. We had a little Easter party/playdate at our friend Megan, Molly, and Michael's house. The kids decorated bags and colored eggs while enjoying yummy cupcakes decorated with jelly beans. What a treat!Quinn really got into the whole egg decorating process. His egg turned out really bright as he sat at the table coloring for about 20 mins. The big kids were off and running while he patiently sat waiting for the perfect hue. On Easter Eve we colored eggs at our house, getting ready for the Easter bunny. Lucy's pretty blue egg.

Quinn picked green this time. He takes egg coloring very seriously.
His hand still has remnants of green dye after baths and multiple hand washings. Our finished eggs.

Easter morning. Yay, the Easter bunny was here and brought fun surprises! Dressed in our Easter best.

Our first egg hunt of the day. We had a beautiful brunch with our friends, the Tams.

Hunting for eggs. An indoor hunt as the weather was not cooperating during the morning.

In order to motivate Quinn to find "eggs" the Easter bunny delivered soccer ball eggs. Q's favorite items these days are balls (of any kind) and cars.

Next, on to Easter dinner at the Hess' This time we were able to do our hunt outside.
The beautiful table set for dinner. I love a perfectly decorated table. Straight out of the magazines, thanks to Mike.

I found one!
Quinn was more interested in the fish than finding eggs. Probably because I wouldn't let him have any candy, so what's the point mom, right?
