Spring Break

We took a wonderful spring break trip to Arizona. We were able to swim, enjoy the warm temperatures, and spend quality time with Papa Mike and Grandma Jitty. Lucy napping on the flight. Guess this was the most comfortable position she could find.

Quinn, on the other hand, decided not to sleep and instead play peek-a-boo.

One of our day trips to Sedona.

Q sporting his tourist attire.

Lucy spent 90% of the trip in the pool. She is such a little fishy. She really enjoyed wearing her shoes in the pool, thought it was so funny.

Quinn, did a lot of watching from the sidelines. I need to get him started in Waterbabies.

I didn't take many photos during this trip. I decided to enjoy my time relaxing and playing with the kids.

That's a big coat

Still snow out there, so Lucy is going to have to grow a bit to fit into this monster.

Easter 2010

This Easter season we really got into the whole egg decorating and hunting. Last Easter Lucy didn't really understand what was going on, and Q was only about 3 months old. This year was a different story. We had a little Easter party/playdate at our friend Megan, Molly, and Michael's house. The kids decorated bags and colored eggs while enjoying yummy cupcakes decorated with jelly beans. What a treat!Quinn really got into the whole egg decorating process. His egg turned out really bright as he sat at the table coloring for about 20 mins. The big kids were off and running while he patiently sat waiting for the perfect hue. On Easter Eve we colored eggs at our house, getting ready for the Easter bunny. Lucy's pretty blue egg.

Quinn picked green this time. He takes egg coloring very seriously.
His hand still has remnants of green dye after baths and multiple hand washings. Our finished eggs.

Easter morning. Yay, the Easter bunny was here and brought fun surprises! Dressed in our Easter best.

Our first egg hunt of the day. We had a beautiful brunch with our friends, the Tams.

Hunting for eggs. An indoor hunt as the weather was not cooperating during the morning.

In order to motivate Quinn to find "eggs" the Easter bunny delivered soccer ball eggs. Q's favorite items these days are balls (of any kind) and cars.

Next, on to Easter dinner at the Hess' This time we were able to do our hunt outside.
The beautiful table set for dinner. I love a perfectly decorated table. Straight out of the magazines, thanks to Mike.

I found one!
Quinn was more interested in the fish than finding eggs. Probably because I wouldn't let him have any candy, so what's the point mom, right?

Lucy starts her clinical rotations

Mommy, just sit still, you might feel a little pressure. Good.
Caymus, retract! retract!
Quinn, just wait, you'll feel better. You are a funny boy..... Hold him still mommy...good job. No laughing Q, no laughing!
You can do it Declan, just go to a happy place....whoops, medial to the carotid, medial to the carotid, I have to keep saying that. Craig come over here and hold pressure for a while. Let's do this again mommy, now pay attention, just 1 cc into your soft palate. I do this all the time mommy, geesh. (Grandma just don't tell mommy that I usually do this on my dolls).

And Tilden, keep your tongue right there because you are next.

Lucy goes skiing

You guys may remember, May of 09 Lucy was all about getting back to the car when we put her on snow. Today, another story: she was smiling all day, and went sledding afterwards, with no fear whatsoever.

With uncle Craig and Grandpa Rick's help, she was up and going.

Declan, Caymus, and Aunt Angie were on the big hill today, so Lucy was ready to go first thing this morning. You better catch me Craig!

Check out the hair!
Standing by the fire wondering how in the world these crazy boots work.
Hope to see everyone really soon!
