Seattle Blizzard Fun

We are enjoying a winter wonderland in the Pacific Northwest. (Dad we used the camera holder you bought us, worked great--thanks).A most unusual snow storm arrived this weekend and even though I am a bit stir crazy, (minus the trips to Costco and Trader Joe's), it has been fun.

Today was Lucy's third experience with snow....1. December 2007 for our Christmas card, she spent a total of 30 seconds so I could snap a shot 2. Last Saturday with Walt, we took some great shots and I was planning to post.....and then Lucy decided to hit a combination of buttons on my computer and.....poof, all pictures deleted. 3. Today she made it out in the snow and I was able to post the pictures without little finger touching the computer!

We are excited for Christmas this year as I think Lucy has some concept of what is going on. She says "ho, ho, ho" every time she sees Santa and she has already opened one gift and thought that was pretty cool.

We were able to make it out to the mall on Friday and since there was a snow storm did not have to wait in line to see Mr. Claus. Lucy was pretty excited to see him until she was placed on his lap. I should receive the photo in the mail in a few days and will share with a post.

A view of the snow from our backyard.

I was trying to recreate the image from last year's Christmas card......not so excited this year. "Mom, get me out of this stupid basket!" Walt's quick attempt at a snowman.....or 'noman' as Lucy calls it. It was quite frightening if you ask me.

Lucy was scared of the little guy. She would not let go of me to pose next to him....can't say that I blame her.

Happier now that she is away from noman and sitting in her snow chair.

Lucy's new favorite face to make when she finds something interesting or surprising.

Don't you love my bright orange jacket. My lovely husband bought me this last year to keep me toasty in the cold weather. It actually fits me now that I have a large tummy. Yes, you can wear this jacket on the top of Mt Rainier it keeps you that warm. Thanks honey, aren't you happy I'm wearing it :)
